Lead Teacher - Float Position (Infant, Toddler, Preschool)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Pay: $17-$20 per hour

The Learning Experience - Newark is hiring a Lead-Qualified Float Teacher to support classrooms across Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool. This position is ideal for a confident, adaptable educator who enjoys variety and can step into lead coverage when needed while maintaining consistency and quality across the school.

Our center provides a structured, play-based learning environment that supports early academics, social-emotional development, and positive classroom experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide lead-level classroom coverage across multiple age groups as needed

* Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum

* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

* Support early literacy, math, social skills, and creative exploration

* Assist with daily routines including meals, rest time, and transitions

* Collaborate with teaching teams and leadership to ensure classroom consistency

* Communicate professionally with families and staff

* Maintain compliance with Delaware licensing and center policies

Qualifications:

* TECE I and TECE II required

* High school diploma or GED required

* CDA or early childhood coursework strongly preferred

* Minimum 6 months classroom experience (1+ year preferred)

* Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices

* CPR and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain

* Ability to meet all Delaware childcare licensing and background requirements
