Overview
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 year School Psychologist experience required. This is a full-time contract opportunity to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a public school setting located in Newark, DE. The contract runs through the end of the current school year, with a strong possibility for renewal based on performance and need.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across grades K-12
- Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student wellness and success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district regulations
- Active state School Psychologist license required
- Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing, assessment tools, and counseling techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel and families
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently
- Full-time position, 30 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Contract through the school year with potential for renewal
