Speech-Language Pathologist in Newark, DE

Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication and developmental needs within an educational setting near Newark, DE. This contract opportunity begins August 19, 2026, and continues through June 15, 2027, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, full-time days (37.5 hours weekly) including a paid lunch break. Hours are based on early childhood schedules but may be subject to minor adjustments before the start of the school year.

Three roles are available, each designed to suit particular strengths and interests within the field of speech-language pathology:

Current Openings:

Itinerant Early Childhood SLP (SLP-CCC required):
Provide onsite support for early childhood students across multiple locations.

Springer Middle School SLP (Open to SLP-CF):
Work with general education populations in grades 6-8 within a dynamic middle school environment.

Mount Pleasant Elementary B.R.I.D.G.E.S Program SLP (SLP-CCC required):
Deliver services to small groups of students with intensive needs in a specialized program.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid and active DE SLP License (required for consideration)
• SLP-CCC required for Early Childhood and B.R.I.D.G.E.S posts
• SLP-CF also considered for Middle School position
• School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
• Passion for collaborative, student-centered practice
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop intervention plans
• Deliver therapy services aligned with IEP goals
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Track progress and maintain compliant documentation
