  • Effectively manage building services groups such as Fire Protection, HVAC and plumbing as a work group lead.
  • Lead the development of complex multi‑discipline construction packages, including diagrams, drawings, equipment schedules, details, and scopes of work.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors in a professional manner.
  • Track project scope and schedule, notifying the project manager of deviations from the original design, budget, or schedule.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Preferred bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or another related field.
  • 10+ years (minimum) of experience in the EPC industry or chemical/biofuels operating companies. Experience with chemical site teams or project engineering backgrounds in related industries is considered. Operations, maintenance, and reliability experience is a plus.
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) is preferred.
  • Proven experience with any of the following core areas:
    • Broad experience with chemical technologies or biofuels.
    • Heat transfer technology and equipment such as boilers, heat exchangers, char boilers, gasification, mechanical vapor recompression systems, etc.
    • Large complex packaged equipment systems such as thermal oxidizers, cooling towers, process units, plastics handling packages, extruders, material handling packages for biomass, etc.
    • Working knowledge of other engineering disciplines while providing proactive leadership on all interdisciplinary design coordination efforts.
  • Ability to travel as needed to survey client sites.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with supervisory experience.
