Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Location:

Newark, Delaware

Compensation: The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $95, plus performance-based incentive compensation.

• Lead and continuously improve our site’s safety culture—protect employees, contractors, and our community
• Own crucial safety programs: incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and proactive risk mitigation
• Collaborate with plant leaders and field teams to enforce best practices, conduct safety audits, and ensure OSHA, EPA, and state/local compliance
• Champion hands‑on training, field safety observations, and foster employee engagement to ensure safety is everyone’s priority
• Support environmental initiatives (air, water, waste), but with a true focus on EHS program effectiveness and injury prevention

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related safety or environmental field is required.

Experience:

• 5+ years of EH&S leadership experience (manufacturing/industrial background preferred)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA & environmental regulations
• Effective communicator and motivator—able to engage teams at all levels
• This role spends approximately 30% of the time in an office environment and 70% of the time in the plant environment.
• This is a full‑time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
