As a Civil Engineer at Atwell, your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, with the opportunity to become a subject‑matter expert in residential, commercial, and/or industrial land development.
Key Responsibilities- Site Plan Excellence
:
Draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards. - Data Analysis
:
Dive into project survey data to assess existing site conditions, considering legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents. - Comprehensive Reporting
:
Prepare reports, opinions, and recommendations—including hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence reports, cost estimates, schedules, utility and storm‑water computations, soil reports, Volume calculations, Storm
CAD and Water
CAD reports, and preliminary grading. - Construction Support
:
Provide construction‑related services such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals. Organize site plans, construction plans, and construction documents under senior staff guidance. - Engineering Software Mastery
:
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software packages to complete assignments efficiently and in line with established standards. - Effective Communication
:
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with current staff, ensuring seamless project coordination.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Water
CAD, Storm
CAD, and Sewer
CAD preferred
