Role Overview
Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join the Ore Technology team. The intern will work closely with the Titanium Technologies team on process technology development projects in a chemical plant. The position reports to the Ore Technology Lab Supervisor.
Location:
Newark, DE.
Hours:
Regular full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week. Term: 5‑month assignment between August – December 2025.
- Work with experienced R&D professionals on process technology development projects.
- Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
- Conduct lab work, including design, construction, operation, and optimization of laboratory‑scale unit operations (reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, pumps, etc.).
- Support multiple projects with data analysis, record‑keeping, and sharing with team members.
- Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.
- Adhere to safe handling of chemicals and safe operation of chemical processes.
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform all duties listed with or without accommodation.
- 3.0 GPA or above.
- Prior experience (industrial or academic) with reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation.
- Experience working with chemicals.
