Chemical Engineer Fall Intern

Overview

Chemours is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join the Ore Technology team in Newark, DE. The internship is a 5‑month assignment (Aug‑Dec 2026) with a full‑time schedule of 40 hours per week.

• Collaborate with R&D scientists and engineers on process development projects in laboratory settings.
• Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
• Design, construct, operate, and optimize lab‑scale unit operations such as reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, and pumps.
• Collect, analyze, and record experimental data and share findings with the team.
• Support team meetings and conference calls and contribute to project documentation.
• Safely handle chemicals and operate chemical processes following laboratory safety protocols.

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3.0 GPA or above is preferred.
• Previous industrial or academic experience with reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation is preferred.
• Hands‑on experience building laboratory setups and working with chemicals is preferred.
