Responsibilities
- Leading projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Leading engineering team with project management, program management, and management of engineering/technician staff.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including customers, sales, R&D, quality and operations, to ensure project success.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Overseeing the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
- Developing and maintaining project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and progress reports.
- Ensuring compliance with company standards.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience (12 years of related job experience without a degree).
Experience with project management and leading cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated supervisory experience in engineering or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
Knowledge of ceramic material fabrication, machining, design, CNC programming, and advanced metrology.
Skills & Other Requirements- Experience in ceramic fabrication and machining.

- Making accurate detailed work plans for moderately complex systems/projects; taking lead role in planning and executing tasks; working many complex tasks simultaneously; planning resource requirements for task completion.
- Preparing written documents and reviewing others' work; presenting to customers for review; organizing and directing group meetings.
- Proactively taking actions to address customer needs and issues.
- Regularly working independently with minimal supervision to achieve goals and objectives.
- Identifying developmental opportunities and championing corrective actions.
- Office and laboratory environments.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
