Chemours is seeking a
** Chemical Engineering Intern
** to join our Ore Technology team! This position will receive functional guidance from Scientists and Principal Investigators.

As a Chemical Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the Titanium Technologies team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a laboratory environment. You will work closely with other engineers and chemists to drive process optimization and new process development through experiments, data interpretation, and literature reviews.

Newark, DE

Hours:

Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

Term: 5-month assignment between Aug-Dec 2026
** The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
*** Working with experienced R&D professionals on process technology developmental projects
* Participating in process safety management activities and reviews
* Lab work including the design, construction, operation, and optimization of lab-scale unit operations including reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, pumps, etc.
* Supporting multiple projects with data analysis, data recordkeeping, and data sharing with team members.
* Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
* Safe handling of chemicals and safe operation of chemical processes
** The following is required for this role:
*** Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at time of assignment
* Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or similar fields
** The following is preferred for this role:
*** 3.0 GPA or above
* Previous experience (industrial or academic) with the following chemical processes: reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation.
* Experience working with chemicals
* Hands-on experience with building laboratory setups
