Chemours is seeking a Global Technology Manager for our Melt processable fluoropolymers team to join our growing Advanced Performance Materials (APM) business. This highly visible leadership role will report directly to the Global Technology Director of Advanced Performance Materials and is based at the Chemours Discovery Hub in Newark, DE. This role requires close collaboration with global strategic growth, commercial, marketing, and manufacturing resources to align innovation efforts with customer and market needs.

Chemours' Advanced Performance Materials business develops high-performance materials that enable critical technologies across semiconductor manufacturing, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, advanced communications, transportation, energy, and industrial markets. Our market-driven innovation strategy combines deep materials expertise with application-focused development to create solutions for challenges that conventional materials cannot solve.

The following responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and develop a global team of R&D scientists and application engineers, establishing strategic priorities, talent development plans, and technical excellence standards
  • Monitor and evaluate progress and results, and determine improvements or changes needed to achieve goals
  • Work daily with the global technology and commercial teams to ensure alignment of technical resources with business strategy for new product and application development
  • Expand capabilities to support product development, application prototyping and industry relevant performance testing for the target applications
  • Oversee global laboratory operations and investment strategies, including implementation of new equipment, testing methodologies, and development processes – fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, technical rigor, and safe laboratory operations

The following qualifications are required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in research and development, technology leadership, materials development, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct people management experience, including leading technical teams and developing talent
  • Demonstrated experience leading global technology organizations and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong background in polymer formulation, processing, characterization, and product development for advanced electronics and semiconductor applications
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25%

The following qualifications are preferred for this role:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
  • Expertise in fluoropolymer technologies, including extrusion, molding, compounding, films, tubing, and wire and cable applications
