Division ControllerFull-time | Newark, DE, US
Sobieski Enterprises, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Controller to support Operating Divisions while managing all corporate financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities- Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, trends
- Understand the financial state of the business unit, and support upper management in their understanding of the same
- Utilize financial expertise to interpret key drivers of operational performance and support business unit leaders with strategic plan development
- Work with Division Manager and Operations Manager to ensure all costs and billings are accurate for analysis and reporting
- Accumulate job cost data including payroll reports, materials, equipment, and subcontractor billings to prepare monthly cost analysis;
Utilize data to recommend areas for cost reduction - Perform financial forecasting, reporting and operational metrics tracking
- Utilize financial data analysis to create revenue and forecast models, and to support management with financial decisions
- Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure business unit financial performance
- Prepare regular reviews of financial metrics and performance;
Present results and recommendations to senior leadership and executives - Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, recommend improvements
- Work closely with Corporate Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Oversee purchasing within the division
- Drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools
- Stay abreast of the financial market specific to the construction industry to understand how to maximize profits

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
- Excellent business acumen
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
