Surgical Technologist

Our client, a healthcare company, is looking for a surgical technologist for their Newark, DE location.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program (required for hires post-2009)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a surgical technologist
• Must have cardiovascular OR (CVOR) specialty experience
• Scrub responsibilities across neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Ability to function independently within established protocols
• Competence in unit tasks assigned by the RN
• Sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and patient confidentiality
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills
• BCLS Certification
• Certification by an approved body (e.g., NBSTSA - CST, or NCCT - TS-C)
• Minimum years of experience: 1
• National certification can be one of the following:
• NCCT
• AST
• NBSTSA
