Christiana Care's Outpatient Neurology at the Health Care Center, Newark is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant I with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.
Outpatient Neurology – HCC at Newark is located at 200 Hygeia Drive in Newark, Delaware. Our neurologists partner closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans that support living well with neurological conditions. The team helps patients manage symptoms, recognize new concerns, and receive appropriate treatment at every stage of their care. Through ongoing monitoring and a compassionate, collaborative approach, we are committed to helping each patient achieve the best quality of life possible.
WorkSchedule
- Monday through Friday:
Day Shift - No weekends or holidays

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
Position Qualifications- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 – $27.69. This pay rate/range represents Christiana Care's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
