We are searching for a reliable Office Assistant to provide excellent customer service at our front desk operations and various support duties to our clinical team. The office assistant will work directly with healthcare practice staff to register and check out all patients, collect test samples, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures and assist in the overall success of our day.
OfficeAssistant responsibilities and duties
- Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the office. Register and or check out all patients for appointments, Collect Co-Pays and or Account balances
- Obtain updated Demographics at each visit
- Record patient information in ECW. Assist patients with obtaining MRI prior Approva
- Assist patients with obtaining Prior Authorizations for Medications
- Assist patients with necessary forms at check in or check out
- Assist the nurse and office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed. Assist the Office Manager with tasks assigned.
- Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice.
- Always practice good customer service in all situations.
- Occasional travel between offices is required for cross coverage of our Practice locations.

Hourly rate: $18 and up depending on experience
Position Requirements- High School Graduate, some college preferred
- CPR license preferred
- Preferred 2+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital
- High level of professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Inventory management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
