Have you completed a Sterile Processing Program, obtained your Provisional CRCST certification
, and are looking for an opportunity to gain the hands‑on clinical experience needed to earn your full Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential?

Newark Campus, with travel to the Wilmington Campus as needed

Training Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or
  • 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Work Location Upon Completion:

  • Newark or Wilmington Campus
Compensation & Benefits

The starting rate for this training program is $17.67 per hour
, with full‑time benefits effective on your first day of employment
. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will transition into a Sterile Processing Technician I role and receive a salary increase
.

Schedule Expectations Upon Program Completion

Successful participants must be flexible to work available shifts based on operational and staffing needs, including:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Evening Shift: 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

  • Night Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Positions may require rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be assigned to either the Newark or Wilmington campus based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all classwork and assignments while demonstrating active participation and engagement.

  • Successfully complete learning modules and maintain attendance requirements.

  • Participate in precepted learning experiences across all Sterile Processing areas.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization principles.

  • Perform instrument decontamination procedures according to established standards.

  • Operate cleaning and sterilization equipment safely and effectively.

  • Identify surgical instruments and demonstrate understanding of their use and maintenance.

  • Assemble instrument trays according to established configuration and count requirements.

  • Utilize biological indicators and adhere to sterilization quality control standards.
