Process Design Consultant

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Technical Writer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Newark, DE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will focus on the complete rebuild and redesign of all business documentation from scratch, including procedures, user guides, and training materials. The Technical Writer will be responsible for migrating customer-facing content from SharePoint to Confluence, creating a fully structured and intuitive documentation library. This position requires close collaboration with subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and validate technical information, ensuring all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with updated documentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Create clear, concise procedural documents, job aids, and training materials
• Build a fully structured Confluence documentation library that includes intuitive page hierarchies, templates, navigation, and labeling
• Work within existing Confluence spaces to standardize page layouts, improve searchability, and ensure documentation is easy to consume and maintain
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and validate technical information
• Produce fully rewritten procedure and user documentation
• Develop mixed-media training and onboarding materials (quick starts, how-tos, reference sheets)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of technical writing experience
• Strong ability to simplify and structure complex processes
• Expert in Microsoft Word and Confluence
• Familiarity with SharePoint pages, lists, and document libraries
• Experience with documentation redesign, cleanup, or migration is highly preferred
• Excellent interviewing, organization, and content-structuring skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality content quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with technical Business Continuity & Operational Resiliency concepts
• Understanding of the relationship and flow from Policy, Standards, Process, & Procedures

Pay range: $78.03 - $86.03 per hour
