Endpoint Systems Engineer

Duration: 6 month contract w/ extensions

Location: Newark DE- hybrid 2-3x week onsite

Must haves:

• Degree in engineering/computer science and/or 5+ years or more experience in an IT endpoint engineering role
• Hands on work with imaging test sequences Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and SCCM task sequences
• Well-rounded experience with endpoint management - understanding MSSI's & MSIX and how applications interact with devices
• Has done application packaging and deployment, including MSI packaging, application upgrades, and inventory management
• Will be updating in MSI for old and new versions

Plusses:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Power Shell, Bash, Python, etc.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
  Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Jamf Certified Tech or similar

Day to Day:

• Manage and support the enterprise endpoint environment across Windows and Mac devices, including Intune, MECM/SCCM, and Jamf Pro platforms.
• Build, modify, and troubleshoot Windows imaging solutions, Autopilot deployments, and SCCM task sequences to ensure seamless device provisioning and user onboarding.
• Package, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications, including MSI packaging, software upgrades, application inventory management, and automated deployments.
• Administer and enforce configuration, compliance, conditional access, and security policies through Intune, Azure, Active Directory, and Entra .
• Partner with endpoint engineering and support teams to resolve deployment issues, improve endpoint lifecycle management processes, and ensure a secure, compliant Windows 11 environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining endpoint devices, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and compliance with organizational standards. This role requires a deep understanding of both Windows and MacOS environments and management tools, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
