About This Position
This director level role provides enterprise leadership for all procure-to-pay performance, contracting governance controls, and master data integrity across the health system to support operational, clinical, and financial goals.
Responsibilities- Own enterprise P2P performance metrics (first-pass match rate, unmatched receipt & invoice aging, invoice cycle time).
- Establish governance model for requisition intake and approval workflows.
- Lead PO exception reduction strategy and oversee contract intake risk profiling and renewal governance.
- Enforce procurement policies, delegation of authority controls, and ensure alignment between negotiated terms, item master updates, and purchasing execution.
- Direct team in procure-to-pay operations, contract execution, and supplier engagement.
- Partner with Sourcing, Value Analysis, and Contracting to support category strategies and compliance.
- Validate and implement savings through identifying rouge buying, off-contract spend, and channeled procurement strategies.
- Establish enterprise item and vendor master governance framework, define data ownership model, and oversee price file validation and catalog integrity.
- Implement data quality audits, duplicate detection controls, and drive automation to reduce manual data corrections.
- Oversee procurement dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting, providing actionable analysis on spend, supplier compliance, pricing trends, and operational performance.
- Serve as operational lead for procurement system performance, catalog integrity, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure sound internal controls, policy compliance, exception management, and audit readiness.
- Oversee AI-supported analytics and establish prompt engineering standards for procurement use cases.
- Prepare executive-ready summaries, dashboards, and reports for Supply Chain leadership and communicate procurement updates and operational insights.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members, overseeing onboarding, training, performance management, and cross-training.
- Support P&L review, budgeting, accruals, and administrative fee processes; maintain confidentiality and compliance with organizational and HIPAA policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 7‑10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or healthcare supply chain.
- Proven experience leading teams, developing talent, and managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Lean/6 Sigma experience and/or certifications preferred.
