Floor Technician

Position Overview

Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper/Floor Tech – full time, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Rockford Center, a 138‑bed mental health facility in Newark, DE.

• Clean inpatient and non‑patient floors with proper supplies and equipment.
• Maintain facility and furnishings in a clean, orderly fashion: stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and carpet cleaning.
• Move furniture when necessary.
• Remove trash and waste from designated areas.
• Make beds correctly, remove and replace linens, place in designated storage for laundering.
• Dust furniture, clean windows, keep bathrooms clean and replenish supplies.

• High School Diploma/GED; previous housekeeping experience in a hospital setting required.
• Two (2) years of related experience with knowledge of hospital cleaning and floor care.
