Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager provides strategic leadership for all site maintenance functions, ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operation of plant assets. The leader ensures maintenance work meets all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements while supporting business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance organization to ensure safe and efficient execution of all maintenance activities.
  • Establish expectations, reinforce accountability, and model adherence to Qnity Values
  • Lead development of maintenance goals, improvement roadmaps, and long‑term strategies that align with business needs.
  • Integrate cross‑functional inputs (Production, Technology, Business, Capital) to optimize maintenance planning and execution.
  • Partner with Business teams to develop and manage maintenance budgets that support operational and financial objectives.
  • Oversee contractor administration, ensuring compliance with site standards, onboarding requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Champion improvements in Work Management Processes (WMP), Reliability practices, MIQA, budgeting, and turnaround planning.
  • Ensure alignment to Standard Practices, including Autonomous Maintenance.
  • Monitor and drive improvement in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to maintenance and reliability performance.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools to drive process optimization.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Maintain an appropriately staffed and skilled maintenance workforce through effective succession planning.
  • Ensure training programs meet technical competency requirements and support career development for maintenance personnel.
  • Reinforce clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for direct reports.
  • Develop internal and contractor resources to ensure readiness for daily operations and major maintenance events.
Asset & Infrastructure Stewardship
  • Ensure maintenance facilities (tool cribs, shops) meet DuPont standards for organization, safety, and capability.
  • Ensure MRO processes, storerooms, and kitting areas operate in compliance with corporate and site standards.
  • Verify that equipment is returned to service promptly and in full working condition after maintenance activities.
  • Oversee quality and completeness of maintenance-related documentation, including work orders and inspection records.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply information from blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering documents.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and drive timely execution.
  • Experience overseeing contractors, technical staff, or cross‑functional teams.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical or Electrical) or related field.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.
