Overview
Equipment Maintenance Technician
Pay: $28.50–$34.00/hr (based on experience, interview performance, and skill requirements)
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to support our SOFC manufacturing operations. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain both analog and electronically controlled equipment, ensuring optimal operation and uptime. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, safety‑minded, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair analog and electronically controlled equipment used in SOFC manufacturing
- Perform equipment installations and modifications according to instructions
- Execute, document, and track preventive maintenance activities
- Evaluate equipment needs and notify supervisor of issues or required repairs
- Recommend improvements and assist with machine upgrades
- Support manufacturing operations as needed
- Partner with engineering and testing teams to support equipment validation
- Ensure and follow proper Lock-Out‑Tag‑Out (LOTO) procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Complete all tasks within standard times with minimal supervision
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or equivalent experience preferred
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with automated equipment, PLC controls, and mechanical systems a strong plus
- Strong troubleshooting ability and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communicator with solid interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office minimum)
- Experience using small hand tools, power tools, and PC‑based testing equipment preferred
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to assist where needed
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
- Flexibility to accommodate shift or schedule changes as required
- Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Strong manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
