Cycle count operations, inventory discrepancies investigations and root causes, operations of power equipment and working in a team environment
Preferred background/prior work experience?:
Warehousing experience, power equipment, inventory
Priority soft skills:
Ability to work individually and in a team environment, strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented
Will the temp be required to use any equipment or exposed to any chemicals?:
Yes power equipment and Systems (laptop, printers, etc)
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for daily inventory management tasks, monitoring inventory aging, and facilitating the cycle count program. This role also represents support for internal and external observations/audits related to inventory control and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Facilitates the cycle count program and performs cycle counts and research as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Drives metrics, runs reports and compiles/presents as needed for Warehouse department.
- Monitors aging inventory items and lots including expiration management.
- Strategize and execute plans to address space constraints and improve capacity.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interact with internal and external auditors to explain documentation and processes.
- Collaborate with Material Handling and Manufacturing regarding transactional functions in the ERP system, such as material identification, quantity verification, and put-away locations.
- Perform data entry and prepare documentation as needed.
- Maintain storage areas and other warehouse areas in a neat, clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Complete housekeeping and area organization audits.
- Perform other job duties as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or group leader.
- Flexibility on the working hours/shifts and overtime (weekends).
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Management System regulation (QMSR), ISO standards, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Qualifications EducationHigh School education or equivalent.
Experience2+ years of related experience
Experience in an FDA controlled environment
SkillsForklift certification is preferred and experience with all kinds of power equipment for warehouse operations.
Working knowledge for Microsoft Suite (especially Excel) and Agile.
Working knowledge of MRP systems essential.
Physical Demands- Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds
- Potential Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
- Potential Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
- Safety Shoes compliant with site specific policies/procedures must be worn in designated areas
