Overview/Summary:
On-Board Engineering Corp. is seeking a Full-Time Capital Project Inventory Specialist to support a client site in Newark, DE. This role reports to the Site Logistics Leader and is responsible for managing incoming goods receipts for all capital projects at the Newark site, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting overall project logistics. The position plays a key role in meeting company quality objectives, maintaining strict adherence to site safety standards, and assisting with general warehouse operations as needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs receiving responsibilities:
    Goods receipts for all Capital project equipment, stages equipment as needed, unloads trucks as needed, facilitates all movements of Capital equipment, manages communications with outside vendors regarding Capital equipment, responsible for accurate inventory records of Capital equipment, maintains good housekeeping, safety and security activities in the warehouse
  • Participates in achieving the company quality goals: dedicated to reducing any receiving issues of Capital equipment for the Capital project team; strives for a better understanding of internal customer requirements; maintains proficiency in problem solving techniques; embraces the concept of teamwork; takes ownership for the quality of the products produced and services performed; and provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Operates in compliance with company safety practices: complies with and aids in the development of departmental safety rules; ensures all equipment is in good working order and operates in a safe manner; follows procedures for use of material handling equipment; monitors area for hazards; uses safety equipment when required; and maintains a safe, clean work area
  • Performs other warehouse duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of warehouse or material handling experience is preferred. Inventory control experience would be helpful
  • Excellent computer knowledge and data entry skills are required. Experience with SAP would be helpful
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with employees in other departments is required
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment is required
  • Must be able to work overtime as required / requested

Physical Requirments :
This position requires the ability to work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time; perform sustained manual activities at moderate to heavy levels of exertion, including lifting and moving loads of a minimum of 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, work on elevated platforms (Powered Industrial Order Picker Trucks) at a height of ground level to 30 feet high;

use hand tools and operate fixed and mobile plant equipment; work and travel throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity; a full range of motion; and to wear personal protective equipment.

Working Environment :
The working environment is a warehouse setting. Daily contact with employees in other departments may be required.
