Provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery, computer systems and facility for a 24hr / 7 day manufacturing operation.

Electro-Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician 3 - Night Shift

Shift

Hours:

7:30PM – 6:00AM - Weekends are required for shutdown maintenance. Some overtime and holiday work may be required, as dictated by business needs.

Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 DOE with Shift Differential of $1.25 per hour

Candidates must have experience performing electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of high-speed automated industrial machinery.

Primary functions: provide production support, troubleshoot technical problems, perform corrective and preventive maintenance to maximize throughput and efficiency. Additionally, performs the duties of Maintenance Technician 2 as required.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
  • Production Support (15%):
    • Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor.
    • Train production technicians in the proper set‑up and copy troubleshooting techniques.
    • Provide training and assistance to production technicians as needed to help maximize production output and minimize downtime through the utilization of proper production techniques and handling practices.
  • Effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software in assigned area (facility, machinery, equipment, etc.).
  • Make timely and accurate repairs, as necessary, during production.
  • Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance (35%):
    • Inspect machinery for potential problems on a daily basis. Document problems and schedule work/repairs as appropriate.
    • Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan. These activities will be recorded using proper PM sheets.
  • Administrative (10%):
    • Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
    • Inform Supervisor of parts and equipment used from inventory.
    • Record maintenance activities using the proper computer application or paperwork.
    • Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspect their work.
  • Housekeeping/Other (5%):
    • Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean‑up, machine and equipment clean‑up, sweeping up after clean‑up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Knowledge
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates Degree, technical certification, or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language.
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification preferred.
Experience / Skills / Abilities
  • 3-5 years related electro‑mechanical experience.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience and detailed knowledge of:
    • Industrial mechanical and electrical machines and systems.
    • Computers hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O’s.
  • Able to identify and perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
  • Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
  • Strong Computer literacy:
    Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet software. Ideal candidates will have experience with Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software, and Order Processing systems.
  • Plans and organizes daily work flow.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi‑step procedures.
  • Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
