Position: Maintenance Technician - Industrial (Electro-Mechanical) - Night Shift.

Provide maintenance support and repairs to production machinery, computer systems, and facility for a 24/7 operation.

Position

Electro-Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician 3 - Night Shift

Shift

Hours:

7:30 PM – 6:00 AM. Weekends are required for shutdown maintenance. Some overtime and holiday work may be required based on business needs.

Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 DOE with a shift differential of $1.25 per hour.

Candidates must have experience performing electromechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of high-speed automated industrial machinery.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
  • Production Support (15%)
    • Respond in a timely manner to maintenance requests on the production floor.
    • Train production technicians in proper setup and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Provide training and assistance to production technicians to maximize production output and minimize downtime using proper production techniques and handling practices.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs (35%)
    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software in the assigned area.
    • Make timely and accurate repairs during production.
    • Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance (35%)
    • Inspect machinery daily and document problems; schedule work/repairs as appropriate.
    • Respond to assigned maintenance work orders promptly.
    • Perform preventive maintenance activities per the preventive maintenance plan and document on PM sheets.
  • Administrative (10%)
    • Perform inventory control of parts and equipment; inform supervisor of usage.
    • Record maintenance activities using approved systems or paperwork.
    • Provide training and coaching to new maintenance technicians and inspect their work.
  • Housekeeping/Other (5%)
    • Perform housekeeping duties for maintenance staff and maintain clean work areas.
Qualifications

Education & Knowledge
:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree, technical certification, or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification preferred

Experience / Skills / Abilities
:

  • 3-5 years related electro-mechanical experience
  • Hands-on experience with industrial mechanical and electrical systems; computers hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O
  • Ability to identify and perform Level A, B, & C equipment preventive maintenance
  • Ability to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements
  • Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints
  • Strong computer literacy:
    Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with Inventory/Manufacturing/Order Processing software
  • Good time management; ability to plan and organize daily workflow
  • Ability to learn and apply procedures and multi-step instructions
  • Willingness to attend training to enhance skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly
  • Ability to work independently on nights and weekends
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule with call-in and overtime duties

Communication & Contacts
  • Inform leaders and technicians of pertinent information; communicate with plant personnel and other departments as needed
  • Coordinate with equipment operators to assess problems before breakdowns and determine if repairs are necessary
  • Communicate with outside vendors and service providers
Decision Making Scope
  • Make decisions in conjunction with department supervisors to shut down equipment, schedule repairs, or request service

The pay range for this role at the location is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. The actual rate offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. The total compensation package may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.
