Manufacturing Team Lead – Day Shift
Location:
Newark, DE (Full‑time on‑site, in office).
- Maintain on‑the‑floor manufacturing activities ensuring safety and compliance with EHS policies.
- Ensure all quality requirements are met and team members adhere daily.
- Answer technical & welding questions and support process flow restoration.
- Handle Oracle transactions and IOTs for material movement between plants and processes.
- Provide updates on unit findings to engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Cycle counts and inventory management.
- Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices.
- Train and mentor technical team members to troubleshoot techniques.
- Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Run the assembly team from a process standpoint; communicate issues with supervisor/manager as needed.
- Identify non‑value‑added waste and recommend cost‑effective elimination solutions.
- Assist in creation of Yamazumi and production line set‑up.
- Handle all rework components for Unishell and Hotbox production.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and lead teams.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self‑starter, highly motivated, and team player.
- Proven safe work practices and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing terminology and principles.
- Experience creating standardized work.
- Experience completing station audits.
- Experience creating Yamazumi and production line set‑up.
- Experience completing process technician responsibilities preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Flexibility to work fluctuating schedules if needed.
- Ability to stand/walk up to 10‑12 hours per shift.
- Navigate facility throughout the day.
- Occasional lift/carry of 25–50 lbs.
- Operate machinery controls and computers with hands and fingers.
- Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading materials.
- Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate with staff.
- Perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Competency in written and verbal English for safety protocols, hazard communications, and SOPs.
Competitive salary: $21.29 – $30.63 per hour.
