Job Description
The role involves operating warehouse equipment and handling printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, and other in-process product in a night shift environment.
Responsibilities- Night shift (7:30PM - 6:00AM)
- Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour
- Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels or other in-process product to and from the equipment in the area assigned.
- Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
- Convey materials from storage or work sites to a designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or other device.
- Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together, using a banding machine and clincher. May occasionally use automated equipment and/or operate an industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification codes, and warehouse procedures, and familiarity with storage areas in order to place or pull paper stock, signatures, and materials according to standard procedures.
- Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
- Basic knowledge of shrink-wrap equipment.
- Ability to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Basic skill in using shrink-wrap or strapping equipment, manual dollies, pallet jacks, carts or hand trucks, and hand tools such as hammers, pliers, strapping and stretch wrapping tools, tape fasteners, metal band sheers, and related equipment.
The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $16.00 / hour. In addition to base pay, the compensation package may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
