Position Overview
Printed Solid Inc., a leader in the 3D printing industry and a Prusa Research Company, is hiring an Assembly Line Worker for its growing assembly lines of Prusa3D printers. The Assembly Line Worker is responsible for assembling Prusa3D products on a production line, ensuring each component is correctly and efficiently placed to meet production targets. This on‑site role in Newark, DE, plays a crucial role in customer satisfaction, as the quality of the build process determines the customer experience and the final product.
Key Responsibilities- Component Assembly:
Assemble parts and components in a sequential manner, adhering to specifications and quality standards. - Quality Control:
Inspect components and assemblies for defects, ensuring each product meets required quality standards. Report any issues to the supervisor immediately. - Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain assembly line machinery and tools, ensuring they remain in good working condition. Perform routine maintenance as needed. - Efficiency and Productivity:
Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines. Identify and suggest improvements to the assembly process to enhance productivity. - Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Wear appropriate protective gear and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor. - Team
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other assembly line workers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address production issues promptly.
- Attention to Detail:
Focus on intricate details to ensure components are assembled correctly and meet quality standards. - Manual Dexterity:
Good hand‑eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts and tools with precision. - Physical Stamina:
Capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks without compromising on quality and efficiency. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in operating assembly line machinery and tools. Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is an advantage. - Problem‑Solving
Skills:
Identify and resolve issues quickly to prevent delays in the production process. - Communication
Skills:
Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment. - Adaptability:
Willingness to learn new assembly techniques and adapt to changes in the production process.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent:
Basic educational qualification is typically required. - Previous
Experience:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly line role is advantageous but not always necessary. - Experience with handheld tools for repairing devices such as PCs, cellphones, automotive or appliance repair is beneficial.
- Training:
On‑the‑job training is usually provided to familiarize workers with specific assembly processes and machinery.
