Bloom Energy seeks an Inventory Control Team Lead to join our team in Newark, DE. This role reports to the Hiring Manager, is fully on‑site in an office setting, and requires a five‑day work week.
Role and Responsibilities- Maintain on‑floor material handling activities safely and in accordance with EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure all quality requirements are met and that team members adhere to these requirements daily.
- Answer technical questions as they arise and assist in maintaining and restoring process flow using Oracle transactions and IoTs for material movement.
- Provide updates on findings to engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Perform cycle counts and manage inventory.
- Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices.
- Train and mentor technical team members using a hands‑on approach.
- Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Supervisor.
- Run the material handling team from a process standpoint and communicate issues with the supervisor or manager as required.
- Identify non‑value added waste within the process and recommend cost‑effective solutions to eliminate waste.
- Assist in the creation of Yamazumi charts and line set‑up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for cross‑functional interactions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and lead teams.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using an ERP system (e.g., Oracle) to manage inventory data.
- Highly motivated self‑starter and team player.
- Safe work practices and attention to detail.
- Familiar with lean manufacturing terminology and principles.
- Experience creating standardized work.
- Experience completing station audits.
- Experience creating Yamazumi and line set‑up.
- Experience completing process technician responsibilities is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Flexible to work fluctuating schedules as needed.
- Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communication to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs).
- Ability to stand or walk for 10–12 hours per shift.
- Occasional lift/carry of 25–50 lbs.
- Use of hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.
- Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital or printed materials.
- Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.
- Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety‑toed boots).

Salary range: $21.29 – $30.63 per hour.
