Job Overview
Manufacturing Team Lead – Newark, DE (Fully on‑site, in office). Responsible for maintaining on‑floor manufacturing activities, ensuring safe processes, quality compliance, and optimal team performance.
Responsibilities- Execute daily manufacturing tasks in a safe manner, following EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure all quality requirements are met and enforce quality practices with the team.
- Provide technical and welding support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain process flow.
- Manage Oracle transactions and IoTs for material movement across plants and processes.
- Report unit findings, cycle counts, and inventory status to engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices, including Yamazumi and production line set‑up.
- Train and mentor technical team members, facilitating skill development and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Communicate performance issues, attendance, and quality concerns to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Lead the assembly team from a process standpoint, liaising with the supervisor/manager as needed.
- Identify and eliminate non‑value‑added waste and propose cost‑effective solutions.
- Handle rework components for Unishell and Hotbox production and other assigned duties.
- High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate and guide teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and the ability to create standardized work.
- Experience conducting station audits, creating Yamazumi, and setting up production lines.
- Preferred experience with process technician responsibilities.
- Physical capability to lift up to 45 lbs and work fluctuating schedules as required.
- Stand/walk for 10–12 hours per shift; navigate facility throughout the day.
- Occasionally lift or carry 25–50 lbs using hands and fingers to operate machinery, controls, and computers.
- Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading materials; hearing ability to detect alarms.
- Perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation; competency in written and verbal English for safety protocols and SOPs.
Salary Range: $21.29 – $30.63 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
