Role and Responsibilities
- Manage Team Leads, Team Members and other resources to achieve production testing throughput focusing on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
- Create, document, and sustain Standardized Work practices.
- Develop and implement production scalability and workflow plans.
- Create and maintain programs such as Training Program, Safety Program, Continuous Improvement Projects, using tools such as A3s, 8‑Step, and RAILs.
- Implement new testing processes and operations.
- Supervise and motivate a team of Team Leads and Team Members; create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Initiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues to meet current and future company needs.
- Maintain and improve quality and productivity metrics.
- Coordinate with internal department teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Maintenance) to ensure testing needs are met.
- Manage team members’ shift schedules, time off, and department resource allocation.
- Develop employee versatility plans and manage employee training.
- Lead the Performance Management Process and recommend compensation changes.
- Manage disciplinary actions.
- Initiate, coordinate, and manage inventory cost control programs.
- Prepare and maintain area performance reports, evaluating performance against daily goals.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work group.
- Develop and implement 5S and housekeeping programs.
- Achieve technical training and versatility to obtain domain expertise.
- Interview and hire new team members.
- 3+ years of proven success in hands‑on leadership and supervisory experience.
- Electrical experience/background strongly preferred.
- Computer systems knowledge, including proficiency with MS Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to understand and resolve first‑level issues on the floor (equipment, process, or manpower).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Superior communication skills (written, verbal, active listening).
- Highly motivated self‑starter, capable of self‑management with little or no oversight.
- Willingness to adapt to change and learn new technical and computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross‑functional relationships.
- Organized with good planning and time‑management skills.
- Proficient with interviewing, training, developing, and handling disciplinary matters.
Ability to stand/walk for up to 10‑12 hours per shift. Occasionally lift/carry up to 25‑50 lbs. Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift. Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials. Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff. Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety‑toed boots).
