Manual Machinist

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain manual machining equipment with precision and efficiency

Work with Southwestern Industries mills and lathes using ProtoTRAK controls

Review blueprints, samples, and instructions to ensure accuracy

Support R&D and prototype machining projects

Assist with sheet metal and miscellaneous shop needs as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

* Qualifications/Requirements:

** Manual machining experience required (steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

ProtoTRAK experience preferred;
Southwestern mills/lathes experience a plus Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for 8-hour shifts

Knowledge of steels, alloys, and NDE processes preferred

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
