$32.93/Hr + $2,000 Sign On Bonus

Status: Full-Time 40 hours

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at RHD is responsible for overseeing all aspects of medical care for individuals served by the organization. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic, values-based services.

Responsibilities
  • Manage medication ordering, delivery, storage, and administration per program guidelines.
  • Educate individuals and staff on health concerns; provide training as needed.
  • Assess and respond to new or ongoing health issues.
  • Complete required documentation for RHD and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct screenings for depression, trauma, substance use, and criminal risk using validated tools.
  • Provide recovery-oriented, evidence-based treatment and collaborative documentation.
  • Act as liaison for medical care and community supports.
  • Coordinate care with prescribers and other providers; administer IM injections per physician orders.
  • Monitor vital signs and medication side effects; report findings to the team.
  • Ensure consumers have primary care providers, annual physicals, dental exams, and prescription schedules.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for 24-hour emergency and crisis intervention.
  • Develop recovery plans and recommend health objectives.
  • Deliver culturally competent, individualized services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Program Director.
Requirements

Graduate of a school of professional nursing (AD, hospital diploma, or BSN; BSN preferred).

Current license to practice in the State of Delaware.

About the Affiliate

RHD Delaware Residential Programs provide 24/7 residential services to adults with serious mental illness. The four homes accept referrals from Delaware’s Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health to individuals who are approved for group home level of care. The program provides services utilizing a trauma-informed approach, along with other evidence-based practices. Support is focused on the areas of illness management, building skills of community living, maximizing quality of life, and reducing the need for inpatient hospitalizations.

Residents contribute a portion of their monthly income toward room and board.
