Registered Nurse; RN - Emergency Department Per Diem

The emergency departments at Christiana Care’s Christiana Hospital, Wilmington Hospital, Union Hospital, and the free-standing emergency department in Middletown, Delaware treat a combined total of more than 225,000 patients each year, making our doctors, nurses, and support staff among the most experienced emergency medical professionals in the region. Christiana Care’s Emergency Department is ranked 24th in the United States and 15th on the East Coast in number of patient visits, according to data from the American Hospital Association.

Christiana Care is seeking Registered Nurses for our Emergency Per Diem Pool. Candidates should be flexible to work at Christiana Hospital, Wilmington Hospital, and Middletown Emergency Departments as required by business need.

• Our emergency department per diem registered nurses go to three of our Emergency Departments.
• Wilmington Hospital and Christiana Hospital are Magnet Status hospitals!
• We offer competitive pay rates with shift & weekend differentials.

Pay rates are based upon the amount of hours you commit to on a monthly basis. You may sign up for 36-hour, 60-hour, and 84-hour commitments in 4-week blocks.

We provide orientation at all three sites.

• Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
• 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in an Acute Care setting required. Emergency Department experience is strongly preferred.
• ACLS and PALS required. TNCC strongly preferred.
