Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our 6E Oncology Unit, working 40 hours. The unit is a 38‑bed inpatient hematology and oncology unit located on the 6th floor of the Christiana Care Newark campus, providing scheduled and emergency care and procedures around the clock.

Shift options include: 8‑hour days (7AM–3PM), 8‑hour evenings (3PM–11PM), or 12‑hour days (7AM–7PM). Weekend and holiday requirements will follow departmental guidelines.

As an oncology nurse, you will engage in a relationship‑based care model, fostering connections with patients, families, and colleagues, guided by our values of love and excellence.

The unit serves adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses, chemotherapy administration, and medical management of febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, nausea/vomiting. Admissions come from home, emergency department, physicians’ offices, and other units.

• DE RN License or a Compact RN License
• BSN or commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire date
• BLS required
• Registered Nurse with 1–2 years of experience in med/surg preferred
• Oncology certification preferred
