Position: Staff Development / Infection Preventionist RN 11am-7pm

Join our team at Encore at Parkside in Newark, DE as a Staff Development & Infection Control Registered Nurse (RN). This leadership role focuses on staff education, orientation, and infection prevention programs to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
The hours will be 11am-7pm.

Work closely with the Director of Nursing to support staff training, oversee infection control practices, and promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate orientation and ongoing education programs for nursing staff
  • Conduct training, in-services, and competency evaluations
  • Maintain staff education records and training materials
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee the facility Infection Control Program and infection tracking logs
  • Ensure staff complete required infection control training and vaccination documentation
  • Participate in Quality Assurance, Safety, and Infection Control committees
  • Conduct audits and rounds to ensure regulatory and clinical compliance
  • Assist the DON with infection prevention strategies and policy implementation
  • Support interdisciplinary teams to promote quality resident care
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Delaware or Compact State
  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience (long-term care or assisted living preferred)
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication, training, and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
