Registered Nurse-Oncology

The RN – Oncology provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This role involves delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, supporting patients and families through treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments safely and effectively.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and manage side effects.
• Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support patients and families emotionally, offering guidance and resources throughout the cancer care journey.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to oncology nursing best practices.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices and cancer treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience in oncology or infusion therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Onc
  ology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
