Registered Nurse - Therapy IV

The Registered Nurse – IV Therapy provides specialized nursing care focused on intravenous treatments and infusion services. This role involves administering IV medications, fluids, and therapies, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Administer IV medications, fluids, and infusion therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene promptly when necessary.
• Assess venous access sites and perform IV insertions with precision and care.
• Educate patients and families on IV therapy procedures, side effects, and home care instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IV therapy administration and patient progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards during IV therapy procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in infusion nursing.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Strong knowledge of IV therapy techniques and infusion protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to manage demanding patient care responsib ilities.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience in IV therapy, infusion centers, or hospital settings.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Infusion Nurse Certification (CRNI) p referred.
