Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This role provides direct patient care to critically ill individuals, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and clinical excellence. The nurse will collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the MICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in status.
  • Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery processes, and ongoing care needs.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or intensive care nursing.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
