OverviewThe Charge Registered Nurse utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice. This role will be responsible for directing and coordinating caregivers to support all phases of care for the patient. This position may have the opportunity to rotate between our inpatient endoscopy department (Outpatient Diagnostics) and Mercy's new outpatient digestive health institute (Kathryn Ann Meinders).
Qualifications- Education:
Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN). - Experience Preferred:
Previous Endoscopy / GI experience. - Licensure:
Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure required for nursing duties. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
