Nurse Residency - Operating Room Track

Job Overview

The Christiana Care Nurse Residency Program offers a 26‑week structured, accredited residency for new nurses (≤1 year experience) in the Operating Room. Candidates must graduate by March 2027, hold a Delaware RN license (or compact), be BLS certified, and agree to a two‑year employment commitment, including at least 15 months on the hire unit.

• Participate in lecture and simulation education.
• Engage in peer support and preceptor‑led clinical experiences.
• Complete weekly competencies and clinical orientation in the OR.
• Attend ongoing residency meetings in months 8, 10, and 12 to further professional development.

• Graduating from an accredited nursing school before March 2027 (BSN preferred).
• BLS certification.
• Eligible for a Delaware Registered Nurse license or a compact RN license.
• Commitment to the residency program and employment agreement.

• Hourly wage of $38.61 plus applicable differentials.
