Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Christiana Hospital | Newark, DE- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

- Unit: 3E Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- Contract Duration: 13–25 weeks
- Start Date: October 6, 2026
- Contract End Date: March 27, 2027 (Firm End Date)
- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
- No exceptions to the experience requirement.
- Recent Epic charting experience required.
- Unit: 3E Medical Intensive Care Unit
- Number of Beds: 21–30 beds
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
The unit commonly manages patients with:
- End-stage kidney disease.
- SLEDD (Sustained Low-Efficiency Daily Dialysis) – continuous dialysis treatment.
RNs may be required to float to the following areas based on staffing needs:
- Other Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
- Step-down units.
- ICU Surge Space on 6D.
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend.
- Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend requirement is listed separately from the holiday requirement; specific holiday scheduling details were not provided.
