Responsibilities include:
- Triaging walk-in patients and assessing emergent cases
- Taking patient histories and educating clients clearly and compassionately
- Performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters
- Administering treatments including IV, SQ, and IM medications
- Running in-house diagnostics including IDEXX laboratory equipment and digital radiology
- Monitoring anesthesia and sedation throughout procedures
- Providing ongoing hospitalized patient care and monitoring
- Using and promoting low-stress handling techniques during restraint and treatments
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $19 - 28 per hour, for each hour worked
- Schedule:
This is a full-time position
, with a 4 x 10 schedule.With rotating weekend availability required — every other Saturday and Sunday.- Clinic hours are 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7 days a week.
- Please note:
7:00 PM is our last check-in time, not our closing time — some evenings may run later, and flexibility is a must. No formal on-call requirements.
Full-time Benefits Package*:
- Bonus package: $500 - 2000 based on active, based on tenure and credentials
- CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 1+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
- Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the state of DE is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient assessment, triage, nursing care, and in-patient monitoring
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Radiology positioning and safety protocols
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Client education and communication
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
