In this role you will perform documented inspections in the verification of conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, and specifications. The QC Inspector is responsible for the execution of the inspection test plan and project quality plan according to customer's and company specifications and standards, as well as responsible for defining and controlling all project required QC documents. The first shift is 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with frequent overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Document dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures.
  • Document non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process.
  • Review and verify internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel with regard to Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures and/or other applicable requirements.
  • Review and maintain customer's manufacturing and testing documents and procedures.
  • Prepare and define test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
Requirements
  • ASME Code experience.
  • Weld experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Familiarity with NDE examinations.
  • Experience writing work instructions.
  • Safety-related experience.
  • Knowledge of the established quality standards.
  • Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, welding, assembly and test operations.
  • Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel for training purposes.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • High level of customer service standard.
