Quality Assurance Technician

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to precision and excellence by verifying that all manufactured components meet rigorous engineering standards. You will utilize advanced measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy, directly impacting the reliability and performance of our high-tolerance industrial products.

• Perform detailed dimensional inspections on complex components to ensure full compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilize precision instrumentation, including micrometers, bore gages, and dial indicators, to validate part integrity.
• Execute first article and in-process inspections to proactively identify and mitigate quality deviations on the shop floor.
• Interpret complex blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements to guide accurate assessment.
• Document inspection results and nonconforming conditions to maintain robust quality records and traceability.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all measurement equipment is properly calibrated and suitable for the specific inspection task at hand.

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a precision machining or manufacturing quality role.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, BOMs, and applying GD&T principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in using manual precision measuring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

• Direct experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment, preferably with CALYPSO software.
• Background in inspecting large-scale industrial turbine or high-tolerance mechanical components.
• Previous experience working within an ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
• Proven ability to handle heavy components safely using overhead cranes and hoists.
