QPS, LLC has an opening for a Research Scientist in our Bioanalytical (GBA) department. GBA consists of Small Molecules, Proteins, and Oligonucleotides units. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding our bioanalytical capabilities to support drug development of small molecules, antibody drug conjugates, proteins, and genetic medicines.
GBA expertise lies in the quantitation of small molecules, peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, and biomarkers by chromatographic methods coupled to tandem mass spectrometry. We have supported many major drug classes, including HIV, HBV/HCV, ADCs, and oligonucleotide therapeutics.
We are looking for Research Scientists for our Sample Analysis groups. This position will serve as Principal Investigator (PI) on Bioanalytical studies and be responsible for study management, interpretation and reporting of study data, and, in concert with team members, will participate in method validation when needed.
Responsibilities- Independently manage multiple sample analysis projects/studies with minimal supervision.
- Prepare, review, and understand study protocols.
- Coordinate with client and internal resources to plan, design, and conduct studies.
- Evaluate significance of data and report findings.
- Prepare study summaries and reports.
- Set up, utilize, and maintain complex instrumentation.
- Communicate project timelines, status, data, and inquiries to client and study sites.
- Maintain proper regulatory compliance, preparing QA documents and addressing audit findings.
- Maintain project schedule and timelines.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior scientific staff.
- Develop, validate, and run sensitive, reliable, and efficient LC/MS/MS assays for PK/PD assessment.
- Ensure GLP regulations and SOPs are followed in all bioanalytical activities.
- This position is 100% QPS-office/facility based.
The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline:
- Recent graduates must have direct experience on LC‑MS/MS analysis.
- Candidates with more than 2 years since graduation must have direct experience in method development of bioanalytical assays using LC‑MS/MS, particularly CRO experience.
- Understanding of experimental design, planning, and data collection and analysis software.
