** Kelly Science & Clinical is hiring a Research Associate for a full-time contract opportunity in Newark, DE.*
* ** About the Role*
* In this laboratory-based role, you will support analytical testing for toxicity studies involving agricultural products, intermediates, metabolites, and impurities. Working under the guidance of a Principal Investigator, you will apply modern chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques to generate high-quality analytical data in a GLP-regulated environment.

This opportunity is ideal for an analytical chemist with experience in chromatography, method development, and regulated laboratory environments who enjoys solving complex analytical challenges while supporting toxicology and regulatory studies.

** What You'll Do*
* + Perform routine and non-routine analysis of toxicity study samples, including dose and diet formulations, in vitro samples, and animal matrices

+ Prepare, extract, and purify samples for chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis

+ Develop and optimize chromatographic methods to separate, identify, and quantify active compounds and metabolites

+ Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UHPLC, LC/UV, LC-MS/MS, radio chemical detectors, liquid scintillation counters, and fraction collectors

+ Generate accurate, reliable, and reproducible analytical data to support GLP studies and technical reports

+ Perform laboratory work in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and other applicable regulatory guidelines

+ Maintain detailed laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity

+ Perform routine laboratory and analytical equipment maintenance

+ Collaborate with scientists and project teams to meet study timelines and project objectives

** Qualifications*
* ** Education*
* + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline required

+ Master's degree is welcome

+ Ph.D. candidates are not the target profile for this opportunity

** Experience*
* + Minimum of 5 years of experience in a GLP laboratory environment

+ Hands-on experience with HPLC, UHPLC, and chromatographic method development

+

Experience with LC/MS and LC-MS/MS analytical techniques

+ Experience handling radio labeled (¹?C) samples is highly preferred

+ Experience supporting regulated analytical testing and GLP documentation

** Key Skills*
* + Strong analytical chemistry and chromatography expertise

+ Experience developing and optimizing analytical methods

+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

+ Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment

+ Familiarity with chromatography data systems and analytical instrument software

** Preferred Background*
* + Experience supporting toxicology, agrochemical, environmental, pharmaceutical, or regulatory studies

Experience with radio chemical analytical techniques and ¹?
