Position Summary

For over 90 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has impacted thousands of lives across Delaware. We are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation.

Each and everyday girls and boys are left to find their own recreation and companionship. An increasing number of kids are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know they have a place in their community where they can go. Clubs provide a safe haven for youth, allow them to meet with friends and be a part of positive peer groups.

Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution and focus on the development of character. Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that help improve decision‑making skills.

This position is responsible for monitoring site compliance regarding federal and state operational requirements for all sites participating in the CACFP and SFSP food programs. This position is also responsible for assuring all sites maintain food program documentation as mandated by the USDA and the DE Department of Education. Duties include making periodic scheduled and unscheduled visits to observe site meal service, collecting daily meal service and attendance documents, communicating daily meal order numbers to the Food Program Director, monitoring eligibility process compliance where applicable and ensuring daily contact with site staff responsible for daily meal service.

In addition to monitoring food program operational activities, this position also requires the provision of administrative support to the food program in terms of helping to track and document inventory and other operational costs.

• Maintain daily communication with site food program staff to determine food program needs, including daily meal orders and fielding food program‑related questions
• Conduct on‑site meal service observations, both scheduled and unscheduled, as required by the USDA and State of Delaware
• Schedule collection of all food program documentation as required by the USDA and State of Delaware, including meal service and attendance sheets, eligibility documentation, and timesheets
• Coordinate electronic filing of all food program‑related documentation with Food Program Dir. and Food Program Asst. Dir.
• Conduct two annual food program site trainings as required by the USDA and State of Delaware and document attendance
• Work closely with sites requiring eligibility documentation to ensure compliance with USDA and State of Delaware requirements
• Report any changes in site meal orders to Asst. Dir. Food Program
• Relay any site‑based food program service or food quality issues to Food Program Director
• Work closely with Food Program Assistant Director and Kitchen Manager to support tracking and documentation of all food program costs and reimbursements.

• Perform all other duties as assigned by Food Program Asst. Director.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

• Organized and detail oriented
• Excellent problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to adjust to and manage change effectively
• Ability to be flexible in scheduling of work‑related duties

• Position requires duties to be carried out at multiple program sites
• Work environment will include direct‑service youth program sites and locations both inside and outside of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware as liaison for food program
• A great deal of time will be spent traveling via personal vehicle to food program sites

Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 3 PM (additional hours as needed)
