Retail & Store Manager, Merchandising
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Group Sales or Department Manager, the Team Leader provides daily direction to associates in one department to ensure merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, stocking, and customer service activities.
Essential FunctionsSupports GSM / DM in leadership of firearm sales and compliance with ATF, state/local laws, company policies and procedures, including 4473, 3310, state and internally required firearm forms. Provides direction and guidance to Sales Outfitters on firearm safe handling, safety, operations, and customer experience standards within the firearms department. Supports GSM / DM in achievement of Departmental Sales, Gross Margin, Inventory Shrinkage and Payroll Goals.
Provides daily direction to associates; prepares task lists. Executes merchandising directives (Top 25 list, Extreme Savings items, etc.) and maintains plan‑ograms set by the Corporate Office. Ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience. Assists in staffing, interviewing, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance appraisals. Resolves customer and associate issues with GSM/DM and HR. Maintains high level of customer service. Remains product expert through ongoing training;
conducts demos to staff. Assists with Special Events coordination, pricing and UPC integrity, assortments, inventory accuracy, display, signing and advertising. Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including harassment‑free environment. Provides a legendary experience for every customer by assisting them in making buying decisions using product recommendations and promotion of programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In‑Store Pick‑up.
& Qualifications
Minimum Degree:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. 2–4 years in Retail Sales;
Supervisor experience is a plus. Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, percentages; read and analyze reports; present information; conduct meetings. Proficiency with PC word processing, spreadsheets, data management, electronic point of sale and inventory systems. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co‑workers, associates and corporate staff.

Physical RequirementsStand and walk during shift; occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps; communicate constantly; occasionally repeat wrist, hand or finger motions; occasionally operate machinery, tools or vehicles. Light work up to 20 lbs, may lift up to 100 lbs with team lift. Occasionally work in tight spaces, noisy environments.

Starting Pay Rate$18.00 – $20.75
